I will speak to more experienced people regarding this and take proper advise and guidance. I will agree and develop a learning plan to improve my own work performance that meets my own needs and follow a learning plan for improvement to my own work. I will also review progress against this learning plan and make updates for improving my own work and further learning.
Every task has to be performed and every work has to be done with the best method and the most appropriate method in hand. It is very similar to "Best value for money": good quality at a good price. It is not the work that you do or finish within the timescale that matters; the work has to be of good quality too. All organisations and companies constantly look for people who are willing to learn new things and willing to adapt to new changes and ways of working.
Organisations want people with a challenging quality so they always strive to do their best. I always try new ways to do my work so that the end result is good, and sometimes I try ways to finish work in an easier rather than complicated way.
I take feedback for all my work from colleagues and managers and discuss with them to see if it is alright and if they are happy for me to use them. Anything that is productive is used and passed on to other teams so they can benefit from them, too. The more I learn, the more I can do. This benefits the organization by increasing productivity. It helps me to identify gaps between my job requirements or future work roles and the existing knowledge, understanding and skills.
The progression route from my current career, will be towards a Senior admin role, and then eventually a management position for business systems. I also think that this will help me work towards my career I wish to pursue in the educational field, where I will have to also demonstrate administrative tasks on my day to day tasks at work.
After completing my Diploma at level 3 in Business and Administration I can possibly look for jobs in various sectors where they need administrators, supervisors and team managers all the time. I already have experience working in education, retail, government and pharmaceutical backgrounds. I will be looking in any of the above sectors or private sectors with a good salary package and job description, where I can best use my skills, talents and capabilities.
So by developing my skills I can look at possible interesting careers and sectors that I might be interested in and develop my opportunities in securing a good job. No matter what you are trying to improve, you are going to have to do some learning to make it happen. You will make some giant strides from time to time but the real progress comes from taking small steps daily towards your goals.
Consistent and persistent action will ensure that you continue to improve your knowledge and skills in every area of your life. This allows you to make the most of your good times and minimise the damage suffered during your tough times. An effective learning plan is that critical.
